Home/Work Defense Seminar
Our home and work defense seminars are custom tailored to the needs of each client. Although much of the key concepts and techniques are common to all, we adapt the class to the specifics of each client’s home or work environment, such as the number of employees attending or not (not everyone will be trained), size of the building/facilities (which impacts escape and avenues of approach, hiding places, etc), and expected level of threat. For instance, a pawn shop that has been robbed before vs a suburban home has different likelihood of threat incidence.
Training concepts can include, but are not limited to:
- Active Shooter: Avoid, Deny, Defend
- Weapon selection – such as firearms or non-lethal options
- Force protection/physical security measures – such as alarm systems, fences, personnel considerations, and lighting options
- Reporting procedures – incident logs, contact with law enforcement
- Security drills – how to conduct drills and what drills to conduct
- Identify people that may be a threat
- First-aid for trauma, like gunshot wounds
No gear is required for the class. By appointment only. Please click here to contact us for scheduling and pricing information.

CDG Hand to Hand Combat Course
“Excellent group, location is great, and the 6 gun course was a great intro to the variety firearms out there!”
“I just completed my CCL course with David and Jon and had an amazing experience. They really create a positive learning environment and really know how to present the information to you in a fun and educational way. They really focus on safety and technique which is always helpful no matter what your ability level is. I would highly recommend them to anyone and will be taking future course with them.”
“I just completed my CCL training, with contego defense group. David and Jon are extremely well versed in this field. What I like most was that we got 3 hours of range time and additional training. They really wanted us to respect and understand the responsibility of carry a weapon. My father went elsewhere and we compared our experience. He only had 1 hour of range time, and their was little emphasis of the safety and responsibility of carry a weapon. Great job guys!”
“Awesome classes, awesome instructors! Definitely would recommend taking a class with them! They work with you to put you at ease and improve your skills.”
“Amazing instructors! All around, very knowledgeable, informative of current laws, safety is priority here, hands on training was badass, and they teach with a hint of good humor. Highly recommended!”
